Whiting Hall Computer Labs

There are ten computer labs in Whiting Hall which are used both by academic departments for teaching computer related courses and by students for their course work and research. These labs contain IBM and Macintosh personal computers. Most of the computers in the labs are connected to the campus network, giving lab users access to SSU's campus computers and to the Internet, a world-wide computer network. There is a wide variety of software available for use in these labs.

The labs have been designed to allow operation without in-lab consultants. All of the lab software is stored either on the workstation hard disks or on file servers. Some of the labs are open until midnight during the week and until 6 p.m. on the weekends. Students may use the labs whenever they are not being used for classes. Weekly lab schedules are posted in each lab.
