Dr. Jawanza
Kunjufu, a national education consultant, will conduct
workshops for SSU faculty and students, Wednesday,
February 28, 2007. Dr. Kunjufu has authored numerous
books including: Critical Issues in Educating African
American Youth; Motivating and Preparing Black
Youth for Success; Countering the Conspiracy to
Destroy Black Boys and Adam! Where are You? Why Most
Black Men Don’t Go To Church. Dr. Kunjufu will
provide two workshops for SSU faculty and students. The
workshops for students, titled Strategies for
Academic Success, will be held in the University
Ballroom on Wednesday, February 28, at 10:00 am. The
workshop for faculty will be held in The Whiting Hall
Auditorium, Room 112 on Wednesday, February 28 at 11:15
am. The public is invited.
