If you are at least an associate faculty and have
an interest in assisting new faculty, please sign up to become a mentor.

FEBRUARY 2006 |
On
Wednesday, February 1, Dr. Shinaz Jindani, Associate
Professor of Social Work, and her students will make a
joint presentation. In the Masters of Social Work
Program,
professional
preparation demands that students master and integrate
all three components of curricula well and learn to
measure their own practice. MSW students take two
research courses. The content of the first course
prepares them for basic research skills using SPSS. This
preparation initiates their experiential learning in the
second research course, and demands that they learn
SINGWIN and assess their own practice effectiveness. The
process by which classroom theories, experiential
learning and technology come together and help develop
their professional self will be highlighted in the
presentation. Come hear how
innovative design is
used to integrate experiential learning, classroom
theory, and technology.
