Mentoring Program
The mentoring program at Savannah State University is a two-fold program that addresses both transitional issues of new faculty and the professional development of senior faculty.
- New Faculty
Our goal is to orient and acclimate new faculty to the institutional organization and culture, administrative processes, and faculty development. Through the mentoring program, we hope to retain the excellent faculty we recruit in order to maintain a vital professoriate.
- Professional Development
The Center provides support for senior level faculty who wish to segue into administration. The Center supports faculty attendance at leadership workshops and conferences, and provides numerous resources on leadership issues via its Faculty Resource Library.
